Tortola

The main island of the British Virgin Islands, Tortola , is not only beautiful but full of life and activities that one can enjoy on their vacation. The country name, Tortola, means "Turtle Dove" and is named for its shape and beauty. This rocky island is 12 miles long by 3 miles wide and overcome by a mountain range, with its highest peak, Mount Sage, shooting up to 1750 ft high. Unlike Cane Garden Bay, Long Bay is a mile long stretch of white sand beach which perfect for tranquil sunset walks for the romantic quiet getaway.
