We stayed in Ocean Cabana the week of July 4th, 2009 and absolutely had a ball! What a perfect set up for a group with kids ranging from 5 to 16! The location was perfect for the older kids, allowing them some independence to walk back and forth to the beach, as well as an easy trot back to the house for the small kids.

The bedrooms were a great layout, with three kings, no one fought over who was getting the BIG bed! The added bonus was the pool and big back yard. Enough room for horseshoes, BBQ, Fish Frying and just sitting around relaxing.

Ocean Cabana is the second house that we have stayed at that is owned by this couple. We loved both of them and will use them again!

The house was a great spot for our family vacation. It was properly maintained and had everything we needed. The layout was perfect for the entire family to be together but not in each other's way. The living room/dining/kitchen layout is ideal. The pool is a great feature of the house after the beach in the evenings. It was quiet and peaceful and enough room and seating for us all to enjoy. We all had such a great time we plan on going back next year!

We just returned from a week stay at the Ocean Cabana. It was fabulous and totally met all of our needs. The decorations were perfect for the Florida area with all the palm trees. The kitchen was stocked with all the electrical appliances. The full size washer and dryer was a definite plus as it was nice returning home with clean clothes. Its location was so convenient to local stores and restaurants. However, it was extremely nice having the gas grill in the backyard. It made having our family vacation that much nicer by staying home and enjoying the meal and everyone's company. The walk to the beach wasn't bad at all. We would get up every morning and have our daily walk along the ocean. During the day, we would enjoy the sounds of the waves and the rays of the sun...but if someone wanted to go back to catch more rays, the pool was right there. The owners were very friendly and professional as I was working on the vacation plans. Our whole group did the Blackbeard Sunset Tour. We highly recommend it! We saw dolphins and watched a beautiful sunset before returning. We would definitely recommend the Ocean Cabana & Clearview Vacation Rentals to our family and friends. We can't wait to return!

Great house, great location, lots of room, everything we needed. The only thing we could have asked for was nicer weather. Enjoyed the beach on the good days, did some geo caching around the area. The owners were very nice people and explained everything quit well. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here the week of July 25,2009,and had a wonderful time. Place was sparkling clean, beginning supplies,(TP, soap, etc) as promised. We called the owner 15 minutes out and he was there to meet us, go over ground rules and give us keys. Grams has some mobility problems so the first floor bedroom and bath were a dream.
The three fourteen year old granddaughters loved going up on the balcony at night and talking and giggling....the furnishings and supplies (pots and pans and small appliances) were outstanding. Great walking, good beach access, close to stores but practically no traffic noise.
One of the best features was the pool and surrounding deck and chairs...we would definitely reurn to Ocean Cabana or one of John's other properties.
Highly recommend renting a pontoon boat and cruising the Bay...sand bar to anchor on and some very empty beach areas.

These carts are a lot of fun......and the $$$$ saved on gas while you are on vacation here is a great reason to rent one!!

RESERVATION INFORMATION

A fee equal to 25% of the total rent will be charged in case of cancellation, transfer or change of reservation. If reservation is not cancelled prior to 37 days before check-in date, all rental and tax money sent will be forfeited. WRITTEN NOTICE REQUIRED FOR CANCELLATION.

Also, cancellation or early departure due to inclement weather does not warrant refund of any rental and tax money sent. If a Mandatory Evacuation order is given, refunds will only be given by your Travel Protection policy/agent, but you must have purchased coverage before the storm was identified and/or named (check internet for travel protection agencies).

IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO PURCHASE COVERAGE, THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS.

If tenant has not checked in by 10 a.m. of the following day (without prior notice) home may be re-rented and loss of all rental and tax money sent will result.

Check-In time is 4 p.m. or after.
Check-out time is 10 a.m. or earlier.
ANYONE STAYING PAST 10 A.M. ON CHECK-OUT DAY WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE EXTRA DAY!!
ABSOLUTELY NO check-ins before 4 p.m.!

There is a $20 charge for keys not left in the home at departure and a $30 fee for all lockouts. (We are not responsible for any damage done to vehicles or personal property).

All prices reflect () persons or less. Any more people will cost as website states. It will be considered a breach of contract if extra or unpaid for guests are found on the property. Immediate eviction can be expected of total group and loss of all money sent will be forfeited.

A damage deposit of $200-$1000 is required. If no damages are incurred and HOME IS LEFT IN THE ORDER IT WAS FOUND & there have been no other violations of rental policy then damage deposit will be mailed back 3-5 days after check-out.

NOTE: If expenses are incurred to repair damages, replace missing items, pay for extra cleaning or any other violation of rental policy as a result of your stay, we reserve the right to apply any money sent to offset expenses.

If any mattresses have been "wet", loss of full damage deposit will result.

If a breach of contract occurs regarding eviction, the NIGHTLY rate will be applied.

ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ON THE PROPERTY OR IN HOME AT ANY TIME!! ALSO NO SMOKING IS PERMITTED IN HOME!! If pets are found in or on property or smoking is realized, loss of full deposit will be the result.

PRIVATE & OR COMMUNITY POOL (IF HOME HAS ONE) IS TO BE USED BY REGISTERED GUESTS ONLY!

Sheets and towels are provided, however we ask that you bring your own BEACH towels. Soaps, toilet paper and trash liners are provided UPON ARRIVAL ONLY.

Trash bins must be pulled to the curb on trash days and brought back no later than evening of same day.

Owner is, by Florida law, allowed to enter home at any time if he/she suspects any actions that might breach this contract. Owner may also enter home to check A/C filters and for any other reason necessary to maintain, security and comfort of tenant.

If property is for sale, renter must cooperate with the owner or realtor to arrange convenient times to show said property.

WE SUGGEST THAT ALL MEMBERS OF GROUP RENTING & STAYING IN THE HOME READ THIS RESERVATION INFORMATION SHEET SO ALL DO INDEED UNDERSTAND THE RULES OF THIS POLICY.

Call us when you get near or in Destin. We will guide you in and meet you at the rented property with the keys. ABSOLUTELY no check-ins before 4 p.m. However, if by some chance the home is cleaned and ready before 4 and an early check-in is possible,.....the number of hours early that tenant is able to check-in, they will be expected to check-out that same number of hours earlier the following Saturday(or whenever check-out date is).

A "courtesy call" or e-mail will be given 37 days prior to check-in to remind you to send balance DUE WITHIN 7 days of phone call or E-mail. If any money due has not been paid before the 30 day period then reservation will be considered cancelled, home will be re-rented and all prior rental and tax money paid will be forfeited.

PAYMENT OF ANY AND ALL RENTAL MONEY AUTOMATICALLY CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH HEREIN.
